Ruth Boulton MBA FCIPD - Director

Ruth started the business in 1992 as sole Consultant and Trainer following a successful time as a senior manager within the recruitment industry and having completed an MBA. She is still actively involved in delivering training and in providing consultancy services on a hands-on basis. In addition Ruth manages a team of associate trainers and strategically manages the HR Point. Ruth believes in making training fun which in turn helps the delegates to learn and although sometimes consultancy issues are very serious with far reaching consequences she likes to maintain a sense of humour alongside her proven professionalism. Ruth is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is committed to her own CPD (continuous professional development) through attendance at relevant courses, seminars and workshops.

Nicky Gleadow FCIPD LLM - HR Consultant

The HR Point is headed up by Nicky Gleadow.  Nicky has extensive HR experience and knowledge, specialising in employment relations and employment law.  Nicky provides effective business focused HR solutions. She believes that it is critical that HR works effectively with all sections of the business and supports Managers and Directors achieve their business strategy. Nicky prides herself on achieving the right result for the business whilst complying with current legislation / best practice and treating individuals fairly.  She is able to assist businesses in all aspects HR and all events during the employee life cycle (recruitment to termination and everything in between).  Nicky collaborates with business owners and Directors to put the relevant HR strategy, practices and procedures in place and ensure these reflect the business strategy and ethos of the business.  Nicky works with clients on a regular and / or one-off basis and provide on-going support and project work.  Nicky is CIPD qualified and a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a Masters in Employment Law (LLM - with merit).  Her skills are actively kept up to date by regular research of case law development, legislative changes and current best practice.

Paula Wilmot BA Hons Grad -  Training & HR Advisor

Paula has recently joined the team and will work on both sides of the business; The Training Point and The HR Point. Paula is able to give on call assistance to all our clients as well as looking for opportunities to grow and develop the business. Paula is an experienced recruitment professional and has a wealth of experience in dealing with staffing issues.  Paula has over 5 years experience as a Training Manager for a large recruitment company and enjoys coming up with inventive ways to keep delegates motivated and envigoured. Paula is confident she can make even the 'driest' subject matter seem fresh and interesting!

Debra Gold BA Hons Grad CIPD - Senior Trainer

Debra has worked with The Training Point since its early days and brings a range of skills and depth of knowledge across all areas of management and interpersonal skills. Debra previously worked in the retail management and then worked in training within retail before moving to the healthcare sector. Debra is an impressive trainer and an approachable coach making her perfect for both group training and one-to-one sessions. Debra has worked with a range of client companies covering service, manufacturing and associated industries during her time with The Training Point.

Norma Wildey - Senior Trainer

Norma joined The Training Point team in 2005 to cover for maternity leave, her skills and style were so much appreciated by delegates and clients alike that she became a permanent member of the team. Norma specialises in training within the recruitment industry as this is where her background and expertise lies. Norma worked in an operational role in recruitment and then moved into training in 1993. Norma has designed, written and delivered a range of courses suitable for new starters through to experienced professionals - both at consultant and management level. Norma's training style is focussed to get results by using realistic and challenging training scenarios - with some fun along the way.

Ron Wells LLB, LLM, Barrister - Legal Associate

Ron is a qualified barrister and provides specialist advice and support when HR issues have gone 'legal'. He can represent clients at Employment Tribunals, draft compromise agreements and other employment documentation which requires a specialist legal skill. He is also on hand to provide advice and support to the HR team. In addition, Ron undertakes employment law and management training - based on his many years managing within the educational and training sector.
