What we can do for you

The Training Point

We will work with you to design, write and deliver a training solution that precisely meets your company's needs, to your exact requirements. We tailor all of our training programmes to your individual business, so your staff are trained using your own systems, processes and paperwork to give them a 'real life' understanding of the issues being covered.

We have a proven system for fulfilling our clients' training requirements, which we have outlined below:

Step 1

Defining the training and development needs

We will work with you to define the precise training and development needs and what type of learning experience will enable your staff to conduct your business more effectively. If you have already identified the needs we can work from your brief, if not we will conduct a training needs analysis comprising of a selection of interviews, questionnaires and surveys with your staff and management to discover exactly where and how a training and/or development programme would be of benefit to your staff and your business.

Step 2

Agreed objectives and learning outcomes

We will prepare an outline proposal detailing how we envisage providing training/development solutions to meet the needs of your staff. This proposal will detail the specific objectives and learning outcomes that we would be targeting with a training program.

Step 3

Training design

Once you have approval the outline proposal, we will design a specific training programme around the needs of your company and staff. This will include designing and writing handouts, presentations, realistic case studies and role plays to help your staff engage with the learning experience. Our trainers have a great deal of experience in devising and delivering training, to review some more specific examples of how this works in practice please call us for an informal discussion. Alternatively, you might like to read some of our testimonials.

Step 4

Pre-course work

To ensure you and your staff get the maximum benefit from the training we will prepare pre-course briefings so that all of your staff arrive at the course fully prepared and knowing what to expect. In addition there may be exercises or materials for delegates to gather together and bring along ready for a high impact start of the day of the training.

Step 5

Delegate objectives

Delegates are asked to arrive at the training having identified and discussed with their manager what they want to get from the programme. These objectives are reviewed before the training starts and revisited at the end to ensure the training hits the spot for each person on the programme.

Step 6

Delivering the training

Where the training is delivered is very much down to you. Some clients have facilities on site and we use those others want or need off site training facilities and/or accommodation. We have contacts with some suitable conference facilities or you may have an existing arrangement which works for you. Basically we can deliver anywhere that suits you and your staff best. One thing we do ask though is that, if training in carried out 'on site', delegates are treated as 'off site' during the training sessions (if necessary messages can be dealt with at breaks and lunch times).

Our philosophy is to provide active 3D training sessions (rather than a trainer simply talking at a room of people). This involves using a combination of discussion, questionnaires, casework and other exercises. We provide each delegate with a course folder to keep the handouts and notes for future reference - so that they can revisit their training experience whenever they need to.

We aim to make the courses enjoyable, useful and profitable both for the delegates and your company as a whole. Our course feedbacks show our success in achieving this too.

Step 7

Transfer of learning

We firmly believe that learning experiences aren't just confined to the 'classroom' - that, to be truly effective, they must be transferred back into the actual work environment.

During our training courses, we ask each delegate to compile a personal development/action plan, which they then take back into work for discussion with their manager.

In this way, delegates on our courses are encouraged to continue their learning experiences in the course of their everyday work.

Step 8

Follow up

Once back at work it is easy for the learning to be forgotten and for things to carry on as normal. To help avoid this we can work with your managers and provide tools to review and revise the key messages. This can be done remotely, through your managers or with an on-site follow up - again what suits you and your business.
